APSET 2020 : Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APET-2020) is a State Level Entrance Test which is regulated by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam On Behalf of Government Of Andhra Pradesh. The Entrance Test Conducted for the Recruitment of Assistant Professors/Lectures at Degree Colleges and Universities in Andhra Pradesh State, As per rules and regulations of the Universities/State Governments. Eligible Candidates who wish to apply for APSET 2020 may submit their applications through online mode (apset.net.in). The registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (for General Category), Rs. 800/- (for B.C. category) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PH/VH category) be paid through payment gateway (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking). APSET Eligibility :
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examinations from universities/institutions recognised by UGC are eligible for this Test. The Backward Classes/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for qualifying the test only after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination OR equivalent with at least 55% marks(50% marks in case of BC/SC/ST/PWD(persons with disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their P.G degree examination within one year from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post graduation only. The candidates, whose post graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects may appear in a related subject.
Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to APSET office. However the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action.
Candidates having post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for test.
The qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the Andhra Pradesh state from where they have cleared their SET.
The candidates who have qualified earlier in APSET /UGC NET are not eligible to apply in the same subject they qualified.

Registration fee for APSET 2020 :

How to Apply :
Eligible candidates should be apply online mode only, there is no other mode to apply for the APSET 2020. Before going to apply Candidates must know the Instructions carefully by visiting the Official website.
APSET Application Form 2020 : APSET 2020 Application form will be available from March 26, 2020 through official website only. Candidates have to follow the all instructions before filling the APSET Application form 2020. Candidates are needed to fill all the necessary details like personal, academic, address and other details. Upload the scanned images of Photograph and signature. After that, they will receive an SMS of submission of their application form. Eligible candidates those who are interested to apply for the APSET 2020 examination may their submit their applications via online mode only. There is no offline mode to apply for the APSET 2020 entrance test. candidates submit their APSET 2020 entrance exam applications before the last Date. The University will also provide the correction facility for application.

APSET Syllabus 2020 :
The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC-NET for paper-I and Paper-II without negative marks be adopted for APSET. The Paper II & III are merged to become Paper-II.
The question paper – I which is common for all candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu). Paper – II for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics c) Education d) History e) political Science f) Public administration g) Sociology and h) Social work will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers are in English only.
Examination Pattern :

Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I and Paper – II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet.
There is no negative marking.
APSET Examination Centers :
The examination is conducted in 6 regional centres namely, 1) Visakhapatnam 2) Rajamahendravaram (Rajamundry) 3) Guntur 4) Nellore 5) Ananthapur and 6) Thirupati.
APSET Hall Ticket 2020 : Andhra University will release the APSET Hall Ticket 2020 on June 25, 2020. After successful registered candidates can allowed to download the APSET 2020 Hall Ticket through official website only. The APSET examination will be conducted in General Studies & 29 subjects at regional centers of Spread over the across the State. Candidates are requested to download the Hall Ticket earliest possible. Because if the candidate find any mistake in the Admit Card, there is a time duration to inform the Examination Authority. Candidates must note down be sent Hall Ticket by post. it can be download Online only.
APSET Results 2020 : Andhra University will release the APSET Results 2020 in the month of July 2020 through the official website only. The APSET 2020 exam will be held in the Month Of June 2020 (Tentatively) conduct by the Andhra University. The Entrance Test will be conducted in the month of June 2020 at different centers in Andhra Pradesh State.
APSET Rank Card 2020 : The APSET Rank Card/Score Card will be declare in the month of June 2020 by Andhra University. Candidates can check their result with Rank from the official website. The examination authority will release the AP SET Result with Rank in state wide rank. Candidates shall be ranked in the ordered of merit in the entrance exam. In case of a tie between candidates securing the same marks in a test, the order of merit will be decided on the basis of date of birth of the candidate with priority to older candidate. The rank card for who appeared in the examinations, they can go to official website for download their Rank Card after declared. Rank Card is very important document for who are qualified, they can go to counselling along with their Rank Card. So it is required document at the time of counseling process.
